About San Gabriel City Hall
The inspiration
San Gabriel City Hall is the seat of local government for a city that calls itself the Birthplace of the Los Angeles Region1,2 . The building went up in 1923 in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, joining a Mission District full of structures that reflect Spanish, Native American and early American history2 .
Who's behind it
The city itself runs the building, which today holds the administrative offices, including the City Clerk, Finance, Community Development and Administration departments, with the Council Chambers on the second floor3 . City Manager Mark Lazzaretto works out of the City Hall offices4 .
