The inspiration

Layered Cakerie began as Dolce Bakery, part of a restaurant-and-bakery Alice started building in Montclair, and it became the local go-to spot for celebration cakes while the restaurant side changed concepts over the years¹ . When the bistro closed for good during the pandemic, the bakery took a new name and identity of its own^1,2 .
