The story

About The Alhambra

The inspiration

The Alhambra sits on the former engineering and manufacturing headquarters of CF Braun and Co., a site first developed in the 1920s, which The Ratkovich Company bought with the idea of turning it into an urban community mixing office, retail and, eventually, residential uses1,2 . The design leans on trees, flowers, benches, birds and fountains to create spaces meant to connect people both to nature and to each other1 .

Who's behind it

Wayne Ratkovich, founder of The Ratkovich Company, led the 1999 acquisition of the site in his hometown and the renovation that followed3,2 .
